9 Ways for an average performer to turn into a star employee



1)      Where to begin:
Begin with you self. Everyone wants to be a star performer and if you plan well and have the zeal, you can be the next star of your company. Understand yourself why you are an average employer that is the starting point for your goal.

2)      Who will help you
Ask your immediate supervisor / Manager / Team Leader, were you lack, where you have to improve yourself. 

3)      SWOT
Strength – Analysis your strength
Weakness – Analysis your weakness
Opportunity – What is the opportunity to improve your performance?
Threat – What is the threat for your performance?  

4)      Do’s and Don’ts
 While assessing your own performance, do try to have a full understanding on the expectations of the job and of your manager from you. In terms of don'ts, try not being unrealistic and aspiration. 

5)      Focus
 Most employees are under pressure to deliver in today's dynamic job market. To succeed, priorities. Focus on high priority job and learn to delegate to improve your performance.

6)      Time Management
You have to plan the day, Week, Month in advance. Keep short term goal and long term goals and try to achieve within the respective time frame.

7)      Stress Management
Stress management is one of the major tool which increase or decrease your performance based on how well you manage your stress on the floor / on job.

8)      Key Factor
 While it is imperative to take charge of your development, some key organizational elements must be factored in. Organizational culture is one such element which plays a vital role in how people perform.
